I was born in Sankt-Petersburg , Russia. Graduated from the Art College and from the St.Petersburg’s Academy of Arts. But now I live and work in Uppsala_ Sweden.
I’m not just an artist painting pictures. I wanted to understand the processes occurring in contemporary art, and, immersed in the ontology of art, I began writing a “theory of everything,” as philosophers at Uppsala University, where I studied aesthetics, derisively called my texts.
But I see that everything is so interconnected that writing philosophy as anything other than a synthesis of interdisciplinary research, connected not by formulas but by words and the meanings between the lines, is practically impossible. Nowadays, everyone has a very narrow specialization, and so scientists have begun to lose sight of the holistic picture of reality. They do things out of curiosity or because they received a grant, and, without seeing the whole picture, they destroy the living world in which we live. Or screenwriters, in pursuit of originality, invent plots that undermine moral principles. Even academic philosophers cannot see the full picture because, again, there exists a narrow specialization, where grants for work define the direction and boundaries of what is permitted.
